For example:
24 feet of unbroken roof
line, times 1.25”, equals a cupola base of at least 30". Our
experience tells us this formula provides a balance between the
cupola and the roof. If the cupola is too small it will look
like a birdhouse. In fact, we recommend going one size larger,
especially if there is significant height to the structure, or
adjoining building.
Another
example: if you have 15 feet
of unbroken roof line, take 15 x 1.25" = cupola base should be
18" square minimum. |
